Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very well-known. Her mother raised her in the USA, where she faced several racial stereotypes, which left her feeling like an unwanted person. Her confidence began to grow in the ninth grade after she took part in a school audition. She was praised for her singing. The experience not only helped the confidence of her, but also altered her outlook on the future. The 22-year-old earned an education from the Julliard School in New York. She began her career at age 23 with Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and You've Got Mail in film. In the Broadway original production of Spamalot She played the role of Lady of The Lake and won both the Tony Award as well as critical praise. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC the show, she received more appreciation. Also, she is a well-known performer and has produced an extended show. In addition, she's an activist who is a tireless advocate for LGBT rights.
